You know that: The neoclassical building at 11 Kaplanon Street is one of the few preserved buildings in the center of Athens. The building was originally inhabited in 1892 by Pavlos Kountouriotis, a navy admiral who later became the first President of the Second Hellenic Republic. Important personalities such as Prime Ministers Dimitrios Gounaris and Panagis Tsaldaris are among those who used the house as a place for political meetings.
